![]() Thursday, 4th Jan 2007 14:59 Accrington Stanley chief executive Rob Heys has revealed that his club negotiated a sell-on clause and promotion bonus in the deal which took Gary Roberts to Portman Road on a permanent basis. The Blues are understood to have paid £200,000 for the 22-year-old's signature, in addition to a £50,000 loan fee to secure his services from October to January. Heys said: "Gary's got a sell-on fee written into his contract, as well as a promotion bonus for us should they go up, so we're supporting Ipswich from now on." Roberts completed his switch earlier this week, signing a contract until 2010. Sunderland have confirmed that former Town target Jonny Evans has joined them on loan from Manchester United for the rest of the season.
