![]() Thursday, 4th Jan 2007 17:17 Town have begun talks with Coventry regarding Darren Currie's permanent move to the Ricoh Arena. The midfielder is back at Portman Road after completing a loan spell with the Midlanders. Boss Jim Magilton told the club site: "Darren is back with us and was training with the rest of the first team players this morning. "Coventry are interested in signing him and we are in negotiations with them, but at the moment he's our player and will be in consideration for a place in the side along with the rest of the squad." Currie is keen to complete the move as quickly as possible and wants to play for the Sky Blues in the FA Cup at the weekend. The Blues are reported to want £50,000 for the 32-year-old, whose contract is up in June.
