TWTD understands that Town have told Academy keeper Óskar Pétursson that he will not be kept on at the end of his two-year scholarship in the summer. The Icelander joined the Blues in 2005 but his time at Playford Road has been hampered by injury.

The former Grindavik player missed the start of last season with a wrist injury sustained while at home in Iceland and has not been involved at all this year after picking up a similar problem during last summer's break.

Icelandic sources expect the 18-year-old to rejoin Grindavik ahead of the start of their season.

Meanwhile, Town have rescheduled this weekend's postponed U18 home game with Chelsea to Tuesday, March 27th at Playford Road (KO 11am).
