Next week's reserve game at Southend has moved from Tuesday to Monday with a 2pm start. Town's reserves currently sit 10 points clear at the top of the Pontin's Holidays Combination League East Division.

The Shrimpers asked the Blues to move the kick-off to a day earlier.

Meanwhile, chief executive Derek Bowden has revealed that Town could have asked for 4,600 from Watford for the FA Cup tie well beyond the 15% competition rules entitled the away club: "We could have requested 4,600 tickets but we would have had to commit to pay for the lot, regardless of whether we sold them, as Watford would have had to give us an entire stand due to segregation issues.

"By requesting 2,260, we have them on a sale or return basis, which obviously is less risky for the club."

Bowden also reiterated ticket office manager John Ford's earlier assertion that the Blues will speak to Watford regarding further tickets should the current batch not meet demand.
