Currie Expects to Leave

Midfielder Darren Currie says he expects to leave the Blues in the near future. The 32-year-old made a surprise start for Town against Leicester on Saturday, but is reported to be a loan target of League One side Millwall.

Currie told the club site that he expects to move on: "I've spoken to Jim a few times this season at length and he has been very honest with me and very helpful and I appreciate that.

"The feeling is that my future will be away from Ipswich. It will have to be the right deal for Ipswich, the right deal for Jim and the right deal for me, but the chances are that I will be moving on at some stage.

"You never know in football though, I'm just taking it one day at a time."

Currie was on loan at Coventry prior to Christmas but the chance of a permanent switch fell through after Micky Adams was sacked by the Sky Blues.
