Saturday, 14th Apr 2007 20:52

Derby keeper Stephen Bywater was spoken to by the police after his sending off along with Alex Bruce during Town's 2-1 victory over the Rams. Bywater continued the spat having been dismissed, chasing after Bruce before pushing the Town defender and grabbing him around the throat.

After the game, officers from Suffolk Constabulary and Derbyshire Police questioned the former West Ham man regarding the second clash which led to a confrontation between several members of both sides.

Rams manager Billy Davies, who was sent to the stands for his part in the incident, accompanied the 25-year-old during the post-match interrogation.
