![]() Thursday, 3rd May 2007 09:39 Boss Jim Magilton has given his strongest hint yet that Richard Wright will be back at Portman Road in the summer. Over the weekend, TWTD reported that Wright's signing on a free transfer from Everton will be confirmed within a matter of weeks. Magilton says that Wright still has the necessary hunger he requires of players in his team: “Richard Wright gives me the impression of someone who is desperate to be playing again. His career has hit a bit of a brick wall and at 29 he wants to get it back on track.” The Town manager has also confirmed that once the club's takeover has gone through, he will have cash to spend: “It would mean being able to bring quality into the building. I would be able to give a list to the chairman and say ‘go and get them'”. Wright's acquisition will mean that one of Town's current keepers will be on their way out of Portman Road, although Magilton says no deal has yet been agreed. Lewis Price appears most likely to move on as he looks to establish himself in the full Wales side. In addition, the 22-year-old has only one more year on his contract and would almost certainly not sign a new deal while second choice.
