Kerr on Trial

Reports are claiming that Falkirk's Mark Kerr is to come on trial at Town. The 18-year-old has long been a target of the Blues, but they are concerned that the level of football he is playing at the moment (Scottish First Division) isn't of a high enough standard for him to be properly judged.

Last month Falkirk manager Alex Totten said he wasn't prepred to let players go on trial in this manner, but Town seem to have persuaded him. After Totten's statement George Burley admitted an interest in the young Scot who has also been linked with West Ham, Rangers and Celtic. The Town manager said: "We asked about Kerr a couple of months ago but were told he could not come on trial. He's a boy we looked at. It's one of those things that the level at which he is playing means that we are not quite sure just what he can do."

Now it seems Town are about to get a chance to assess Kerr for themselves.
