Academy striker Paul Murphy has been named in the Republic of Ireland U17 squad for their European Championship first phase qualifying mini-group later this month. Ireland host the games which will be played between September 14th and 19th.

The Irish youngsters play Ukraine, Denmark and the Slovenia with the top two sides in the group progressing to the elite qualification stage. First-year scholar Murphy has already won two caps at U17 level.
