Town boss Jim Magilton has agreed to sign a new contract which will keep him with the Blues until 2010. Late last month, TWTD was first to reveal that the club were set to offer the Northern Irishman an extended stay at Portman Road.

First team coach Bryan Klug and technical skills coach Steve Foley have also agreed new two-year contracts. The trio's current deals were due to expire at the end of the season.

Magilton told the club site: "We are all delighted to have agreed the new contracts.

"The club have shown faith in us and have liked what they have seen so far. The chairman and the board believe we are heading in the right direction, we have new investment coming in and I think the future is encouraging."
