Shane Supple will be hoping to win his first Republic of Ireland U21 cap this evening when his side take on Montenegro in Podgorica. Meanwhile, defender Chris Casement will make his ninth U21 appearance for Northern Ireland in their qualifier against Luxembourg in Lurgan.

Owen Garvan was in the Republic squad for the European Championships qualifier, but was forced out by the calf injury he suffered in the 6-0 hammering of Bristol City.

The midfielder hopes to be fit enough to be involved in the qualifier Bulgaria in Athlone next Tuesday. Striker Billy Clarke is also in the squad for visit of the Bulgarians.

Casement and the Northern Ireland U21s also have a game next Tuesday, against Moldova, again in Lurgan.

Alex Bruce is in the full Republic of Ireland squad for their final Euro 2008 match with Wales in Cardiff on Saturday, but is unlikely to win his second cap. The game is expected to be former Town boss Sir Bobby Robson's final match in football.

Hat-trick hero Jon Walters is in the Republic of Ireland B squad for a friendly with Scotland at the Excelsior Stadium, Airdrie on Tuesday, while academy midfielder Ed Upson was on the bench for the England U19s as they lost a friendly with Germany 1-0 on Wednesday.

Defender Tommy Smith is in the England U18 squad for a friendly with Ghana at Gillingham's Priestfield Stadium on Tuesday. Striker Jordan Rhodes is on standby.
