Lambe Becomes Town's Youngest Ever International
Lambe Becomes Town's Youngest Ever International
Saturday, 15th Dec 2007 11:56

Academy winger Reggie Lambe became Town's youngest ever full international overnight as he made his debut in Bermuda's 2-1 home defeat to St Kitts and Nevis.

Lambe, 16, takes the record from Jaime Peters, who made his first Canada appearance as a Town player at 18.

The former Dandy Town Hornets player, who joined the academy full-time in the summer, started the game but was replaced in the 73rd minute.

Lambe could win his second cap on Sunday when Bermuda take on the same opposition in another friendly.

There had been some doubt whether Lambe would play in yesterday's game due to a ban imposed by the Bermuda Football Association after an incident in a hotel while he was away with their U15s at the Dallas Cup in April. However, the BFA appear to feel the matter has already been dealt with.
