![]() Tuesday, 12th Feb 2008 13:00 Out-of-favour midfielder Gary Roberts has joined former club Crewe Alexandra on loan for a month. Roberts has been an increasingly peripheral figure at Portman Road this season, although he started the recent home game at Blackpool. Roberts, who will team up with another midfielder called Gary Roberts at Gresty Road, who was recently linked with the Blues, was previously with the Alex between 2003 and 2005 after leaving Liverpool's academy. During that spell, the 23-year-old made two starts and two sub appearances for the Railwaymen. He is expected to make his second debut in tonight's game at Leyton Orient. Roberts joined the Blues permanently from Accrington Stanley in January 2007, having spent a successful spell on loan.
