Fulham Roy Hodgson says he will not be allowing striker David Healy out on loan. The Northern Ireland international was believed to be top of Jim Magilton's wish-list as he looks for another loan frontman in the wake of the collapse of the David Nugent deal.

Hodgson said: "A lot of clubs would like to take Healy, those looking for promotion in the Championship where they are still allowed to have loans, but we will not be letting him go.

"David has not played much, that's just the choices I've made so far, but he's a goalscorer and we may call on him yet.”

Meanwhile, chief executive Derek Bowden says the Blues are still to confirm a new sponsor. E.on's deal is up at the end of the season and Town have been looking for a replacement since November.

Bowden has spoken to a number of interested parties, but no deal is imminent: "We are not that close to finalising a sponsorship deal at the moment. We have two or three companies that are interested but they have not committed to anything yet.

"We will be spreading the net nationally in the next couple of weeks. We are not panicking by any means but we don't have one yet.”

The latest businesses linked with the role are credit card company Capital One and Marcus Evans's Linguarama, a business language and communication training organisation.

AXA, the Port of Felixstowe and former sponsors Greene King were previously tipped to be amongst those who might be keen on having their name emblazoned on Town shirts in the seasons ahead.
