Wright: We Have Unfinished Business

Full-back David Wright says the Town squad have unfinished business when the 2008/09 season starts in August. Wright says the players were hugely disappointed at missing out on the play-offs.

Wright told the club site: "The first two weeks or so after we finished our season were very hard. We played 46 games and personally it felt it was all for nothing. We didn't get where we wanted to be. It was just one point shy, but it was hard to take.

"I think the disappointment felt by all the lads can help us next season, though. We have unfinished business and can use it as a tool to drive us on to where we want to be.

"We are moving in the right direction. We know that. The improvement from the previous year was there for all to see and we have to maintain that next season.

"Our away form obviously let us down last year but we were beginning to get it right.

"We were digging in and getting results at the end of the season and, if we can build on that and maintain our fantastic home form, we will be in there with a shout."

Meanwhile, SGR FM could broadcast commentary on Town's home games next season, according to a report. Former Blue Simon Milton, who these days works in the academy, and the club's director of communications Terry Baxter are claimed to be in line to sit behind the microphones.

Broadcasting rules would allow the commercial station to provide commentary either exclusively or in competition to Radio Suffolk.
