West Brom striker Kevin Phillips, amongst the frontmen interesting the Blues, is reportedly set to join Derby County. A newspaper in Birmingham claims Phillips, who is currently away on holiday, has confirmed that he expects to join the Rams on a two-year deal.

Town were one of a number of Championship clubs monitoring Phillips's situation with the former England man stalling on signing a new one-year contract at the Hawthorns.

Meanwhile, TWTD understands that SGR FM have secured the rights to broadcast commentary on Town games home and away during 2008/09. An official announcement is expected later this week with the commercial station yet to decide who will be behind the microphones.

Elsewhere, ex-Blues defender Drissa Diallo has signed a new one-year deal with newly promoted League One side the MK Dons.
