Boss Jim Magilton feels the Blues have been handed a tough start to the new season with the visit of Preston North End followed by games against Burnley, Wolves, Watford and Reading.

Magilton told the club site: "It's always nice to be at home on the first day. Preston are a good footballing side though, and improved throughout last season, so it will be a tough game, I'm sure.

"Looking at the first four or five games, it's a difficult start. Burnley away is always hard, while Wolves, Watford and Reading are clubs that you would expect to be in the mix for the promotion places."
