![]() Tuesday, 17th Jun 2008 11:40 The Football League has confirmed that clubs will be permitted to name seven substitutes in the Carling Cup and FA Cup this season. The Premier League is introducing the additional two subs and both cup competitions will follow suit, but not the Football League itself. Even though they will have seven players available, sides will continue to be allowed use of only three from the bench during a game.
