Released Town keeper Nick Colgan has revealed that the Blues offered him a player-coach role over the summer. Colgan decided against taking the job as he wants to continue playing full-time.

The Irishman, who is currently on trial at Bradford City, said: "Jim Magilton offered me a player-coach role at Ipswich but I'd always planned to play until I was 40. I still feel I've got plenty to offer just as a player.”

Meanwhile, former Blue Kevin Horlock has failed to win a deal with Blue Square North side King's Lynn after a trial.

Further to earlier reports, Kevin Lisbie ought to have been referred to has an "ex-Charlton man”, while Donegal Celtic's scorer was James Lavery.
