On-loan striker Billy Clarke was unable to match last week's heroics as his Darlington side lost 2-1 at Aldershot on Saturday. Clarke netted four times a week ago as the Quakers thrashed Macclesfield 6-0.

Elsewhere this weekend, left-back Dan Harding was in the Southend team which lost 2-1 at Carlisle, while Matt Richards and Brighton fell to a 4-1 home defeat against Scunthorpe.

Midfielder Ed Upson was left out of the 16 as Stevenage Borough beat Burton Albion 4-1, but made his first senior appearance as an 80th minute sub during Tuesday's 2-1 loss to Kettering at Rockingham Road. On Monday, Upson joined Boro until January.

Chris Casement's Hamilton Academical weren't in SPL action this weekend with the on-loan defender in the Northern Ireland U21 side which lost 3-0 to Germany on Friday.
