![]() Sunday, 7th Sep 2008 19:22 Player-manager Simon Milton was the Town hero as a Blues veterans side defeated Norwich City 4-2 at Carrow Road on Sunday afternoon. Milton, on as a second half sub, netted twice including a 25-yard scorcher. The game was part of Norwich's Historical Trust's Grand Player Reunion with more than 40 Canaries of the past present. Town's other goals were an own goal by Phil Chapple and a last minute effort from Lubo Guentchev, son of former Blue Bontcho and a one-time Town trialist. In addition to Milton and the Guentchevs, the Town side featured Micky Stockwell, Chris Kiwomya, Jason Dozzell, Paul Goddard, Ian Atkins and former academy keeper Scott Peat.
