Wycombe Confirm Casement Loan

League Two leaders have confirmed Chris Casement's one-month loan at Adams Park. Casement recently returned from his half-season spell with SPL side Hamilton Academical where he made only one start and one sub appearance.

Casement is out of contract with the Blues at the end of the season and looks unlikely to be offered a new deal.

Wycombe manager Peter Taylor is a long-time admirer of Casement having tried to take him to Stevenage on loan a year ago.

Meanwhile, Darlington are reported to be unable to match the fee Town are asking for striker Billy Clarke. The Irishman returned to the Blues last week after an impressive half-season loan with the Quakers.

Manager Dave Penney is keen to re-sign Clarke, but the Blues want to do a permanent deal and the League Two side are unable to afford Town's valuation.

The Irish U21 international, who is also out of contract at the end of the season, is keen to return to Darlington, however, other clubs are believed to be interested and may be in a better position to pay the required fee.
