Clarke in Team of the Week
Monday, 10th Nov 2025 16:25

Town forward Jack Clarke has been named in the Sky Bet Championship Team of the Week following his display in the 4-1 victory at Swansea City on Saturday.

Clarke gave the Blues the lead with his sixth goal of the season, putting him level with Jaden Philogene as the club’s top scorer.

In addition, Clarke made three successful dribbles and three key passes as the Blues made it back-to-back 4-1 away wins.

The 24-year-old, who has largely been used as a sub up to now, currently heads a table for Championship goals per 90 minutes for players who have netted at least four times.

His 0.89 puts him ahead of Brandon Thomas-Asante’s 0.75 with the Coventry man the division’s overall top scorer at present on 10.

Surprised Cam didn't make the cut after scoring two from the centre of the defence.

Never doubted him. He had a stand out season in the championship for Sunderland before he signed for Town.

Surprised Walton wasn't on there with his saves.

Jewellinthetown. It was one (great) save. Swansea rarely troubled us otherwise

How do Town get Clarke and Philogene in the same side

I guess Walton's save does not beat a clean sheet !

Well done Jack, though I think our other Jack in midfield was our best player on the day....again ! What a bonus he is for us now this season, esp with Jens proving unable to (Still) quite grasp our system. Happiest moment on Sat was spotting in the top Right of the screen, Jack Taylor filling in for an advancing Leif. Simple but brilliant....Louogo 2.0 with added pace/power! lol

Good player but people are getting too carried away it's only one game he's had his troubles when starting games in the past let's hope this is the start of something special.

My friend who a sunderland fan says he should be played as a number 10 doesnt work well with Davis on the left.

Philogene goal ratio is also good and works better with Davis so Clarke could play as a 10…..but things are going well so does KmK change things

We soon moan when he does

@Karlosfandangal, simplistically Clarke on the left wing and Philogene on the right.

Both played in those positions last year when we went to Coventry in the FA Cup and tonked them 4-1, Hirst also played in the number 9 and Sammie played in the 10.

Clarke was outstanding and MOM., Billy Jean got one goal too from the right side.

Incidentally Jack Taylor also played that day.

Just need Jaden not to be so moody and show the versatility of Jack C

I was banging the drum for JC when most in here and elsewhere didn't want to know. I'm delighted for him. Not a drama queen, kept his head down, didn't throw his toys out of the pram and is now reaping the rewards.

On another, but related note, it's beginning to look like another Jack is doing the same thing!
