Saturday, 24th Jan 2009 08:37

Town chairman David Sheepshanks is reportedly set to make a bid to become the FA's chief executive when the organisation's 12-man board meet on February 26th.

Sheepshanks is a member of the board which will choose the successor to Brian Barwick at the meeting and will be amongst those interviewed by his colleagues.

The non-executive Town chairman has long been linked with the role, which is also believed to be interesting Liverpool chief executive Rock Parry.
