![]() Tuesday, 10th Feb 2009 23:32 Owen Garvan and Paul Murphy added to their totals of Republic of Ireland international caps on Tuesday evening. Garvan created the Republic of Ireland U21 side's goal in a 1-1 draw with Germany in Cork while making his eighth appearance at that level. Striker Murphy came on as a half-time sub for the Republic of Ireland U19s as they lost 2-1 to Russia in the first of two away friendlies. The second game is on Thursday. The 17-year-old, who has now won six U19 caps, has not returned to Town since the academy's two-week Christmas break having suffered from home sickness during the first half of the season. The Wexford-born player asked the club if he could remain home for a longer period and is in regular contact with the academy. Chris Casement, who has extended his loan with Wycombe for a second month, missed out on further U21 international recognition as Northern Ireland's friendly with Wales in Ballymena was called off due to the weather.
