Dire game, but we should have won with all the chances we had.

Although we should have won the game we had so many players off form our distribution was awful especially from Davis and Jack Taylor. Im afraid most of our signings are middle of the road championship players. Akpom has to release the ball earlier at times he's so predictable.

A quite infuriating watch today - a game we really should have won 2 or 3-0. Good start and first ten minutes we looked a good side, Egeli particularly decent. One move he set Furlong away but then he lacked some composure in picking people out. Rest of the half was a lot of huff and puffing. Wrexham really looked poor. Second half we were so disjointed especially upfront Akpom and Azon both look short of confidence or the desired level. And our left side was really poor I felt with Jaden and Leif pretty much both having shockers. That said for all our lack of intent and slow build up if McAteer or Akpom had buried one of their chances it would have been a job done, move on.

Another game that we should have won, chances galore but none in the back of the net, similar to Charlton but not as disastrous, Wrexham came for a point and had no other ambition, it worked!
Is it also possible we could at least start our best team at home and maybe keep the number of changes to 2 or 3 per match?
Finally some of our new signings at not really performing that well, Akpom, Azon & McAteer all very poor with one goal between them. I think we need a prolific goal scorer, shame Szmodics is always injured, maybe January sales.

We’re just too slow. Akpom is so poor, surely we have a better U21 waiting for a chance.
