Agreed but we’ve got no chance as in the past not many players choose to come to Ipswich (village according to Man City fan!) which is why we’ve always struggled to attract players. That’s why our best teams are made up of local talent.

Just look at the stats. No shots on target or not enough equals no goals. Can’t win games like that so I’d move Johnson up as at least he has some idea which is more than can be said about Al Hab!
Also we miss Burgess as his size and presence was key to good defence so I’d look seriously at Bromley CB. |

We should have gone for him last year. He’s scoring goals for Bristol City and is only 26 so well worth the investment. We’ve always struggled with free kicks so his contribution would be much needed. Plus he’s a decent player anyway. |

I like the 5 minute rule. If it’s genuine then the player should be assessed and subject to check up he can be let back on if ok. If it’s not then maybe it’ll discourage players and managers will be unhappy losing a player who’s cheating.
Its harsh on the team to lose player for 5 mins but if it is real then surely its best for the player to get proper attention. Could go down rugby route and allow temporary sub but not sure!
Plus I’d like to stop the clock for all injuries and make sure there’s no delay making substitutions so we all know when the game should finish. It’s left to ref when to blow depending what’s going on. That can’t be right. |

Good for you but I like many can’t get away tickets due to PL and of course cost. In the past I would go to all London games plus a few more but now having to sit in front of telly.
Can’t understand why big grounds don’t allocate more seats to away fans but guess it’s all about money! |

Not surprised as I too am nervous. So far we’ve had lowest possession, shots and passes!
We’ll be under pressure from the start with Southampton out to prove a point after last season. Need goals but where will they come from? |

I think the management will be doing everything possible to increase capacity in short term. Maybe looking at the corners between stands even if it only adds 10%. Clearly there’s demand for 40,000 so it’ll be interesting how they go about it. |

Quite agree. If we can’t do it ourselves then we don’t deserve to finish in top two. Can’t sit back and rely on other teams. The last two games have almost killed our chances so it was in our hands but we blew it.
Get back to winning and maybe we’ll make it but somehow not confident. |

Quite agree. Thought attitude of som eof our players wasnt good enough. Chaplin seemed to be trying too hard and was more intent on stopping their players reather than concentrating on his! That last shot he had just before he was subbed was poor by his standards.
Also thought we failed to get behind their defence in fact they had an easy time which is something we don't usually do. Would have started with El Ham as he looked to cause them problems in the short time he was on. Very few crosses for Moore to put pressure on their CBs.
So I cant see us repeating that again in playoffs when we're destined to play them. |

Never understood why he didn't as there must have been lots of times when he could have got on at end of games.
Don't think we are using our U21s fully but instead giving game time to established players when there's nothing at stake in the game. Shame because we,re wasting our resourses.
Even Humphries is left on the bench too often. |
