Town are again set to watch Lincoln City midfielder Dany N'Guessan this afternoon when the Imps take on Aldershot at Sincil Bank, according to reports in Lincolnshire. The Blues and a number of other Championship clubs have been eyeing N'Guessan for some while.

The Frenchman is out of contract at the end of the season, along with former Town academy central defender Lee Beevers.

Manager Peter Jackson says he is all but certain N'Guessan is leaving but hopes Welshman Beevers will stay with the League Two club: "Lee is another player who could be playing his last game, although there is a still a chance we might keep him.

"I don't think he has anything lined up and I feel he is playing a risky game personally.

"I'd also like to keep N'Guessan, but that will be incredibly difficult given the amount of interest.

"You can't deny him the chance to play a higher standard of football, earn a rise in money and miss the opportunity of having a better standard of living.

"On his day, he is one of the best I have worked with. I just hope the fans turn out today and give N'Guessan and Beevers a great reception."

N'Guessan, 6ft 1in tall, plays mainly on the left of midfield, where Town seem certain to make a summer addition with Luciano Civelli out until next year, but can also operate on the right, in the centre or up front.

The Ivry-sur-Seine-born player started his career with Auxerre's youth system and moved to Glasgow Rangers for £150,000 in 2005 when only 18, despite interest from the likes of Marseille, Manchester City and Valencia.

A loan spell at Boston United followed early in the 2006/07 season, before he moved to Lincoln on a free transfer in January 2007.

N'Guessan, who was named in the this year's PFA League Two team of the season, has scored 17 goals in 75 starts and 23 sub appearances while at Sincil Bank.

Leicester, Reading and Sheffield United have also been linked with summer moves for the 21-year-old.

Meanwhile, Town boss Roy Keane has agreed to play in a tribute match for Celtic legend Tommy Burns later this month. Keane will play for an All Stars XI against the Glasgow giants, with whom the Irishman spent six months as a player, at Parkhead on May 31st.

Money raised by the game will benefit the Burns family, the Celtic Charity Fund and the Tommy Burns Skin Cancer Trust.
