![]() Thursday, 14th May 2009 12:28 Heart have confirmed that they will continue to broadcast live commentary on Town's home and away games next season. The radio station, formerly SGR FM, signed a three-year deal last summer, but a report a few months ago claimed that they would be pulling out for 2009/10. However, spokesman John Chittenden confirmed that Heart, who last season featured commentator Mark Scott alongside former Blue Mick Stockwell, will be at all Town's games next season: "We are set to continue with the contract that was signed last summer. Global Radio took over SGR FM and a number of other stations. "The station was rebranded as Heart and listening figures are pleasing. Listeners are enjoying the feel-good factor that our stations generate. "And we have had good feedback on our listening figures for Ipswich Town games, which we hope to improve on even more next season.†Heart have exclusive rights for Town's home matches, while Radio Suffolk are restricted to commentating on away games. Meanwhile, Town are said to be one of a number of clubs monitoring Hamilton Academical midfielder James McCarthy. The Blues, Everton, Newcastle, Tottenham, Middlesbrough, Wigan, Blackburn, Sunderland and Wolves are all believed to be interested in the 18-year-old PFA Scotland Young Player of the Year, but Celtic and Hamilton are already said to be discussing a move for the highly-rated Irishman.
