Town defenders Damien Delaney and Alex Bruce have been put on standby for the Republic of Ireland friendly against Australia in Limerick on August 12th.

None of Town's Irish players have been included in Giovanni Trapattoni's 24-man squad.

Republic of Ireland: Shay Given (Manchester City), Keiren Westwood (Coventry City), Joe Murphy (Scunthorpe United), John O'Shea (Manchester United), Kevin Foley (Wolves), Richard Dunne (Manchester City), Stephen Kelly (Fulham), Kevin Kilbane (Hull City), Sean St Ledger, Eddie Nolan (both Preston North End), Aiden McGeady (Celtic), Damien Duff (Newcastle United), Darron Gibson (Manchester United), Glenn Whelan, Liam Lawrence (both Stoke City), Keith Andrews (Blackburn Rovers), Liam Miller (Unattached), Stephen Hunt (Reading), Robbie Keane (Tottenham), Kevin Doyle, Andy Keogh (both Wolves), Shane Long (Reading), Caleb Folan (Hull City), Leon Best (Coventry City).
