Striker Kevin Lisbie says he wants to speak with Roy Keane about his future after the Town manager revealed that he will be recalling the on-loan striker from his spell at Colchester United in January. Lisbie, who celebrates his 31st birthday today, says he knew nothing of his season-long loan being cut short until Keane made the comments to the media.

The former Charlton man recently said he would not be returning to Town, but Keane wants him back at Portman Road having received interest from other clubs regarding permanent deals for the ex-Jamaica international.

Lisbie says he wants to talk to Keane about the situation: “I see that he has said that there are a few clubs interested in me, but the problem is that I'd like him to speak to me first.

“I'd like him to call me. Roy has not spoken to me yet, so I knew nothing about this recalling me. It's a horrible way to find out.

“I think he should have spoken to me first. To be honest, I feel like a piece of meat.”

Lisbie is enjoying his second spell with the U’s and wants to remain with the League One side: ”I want to see the season through at Colchester. That situation hasn't changed.

“I want to speak to the manager here [Aidy Boothroyd]. I feel settled at Colchester, and I won't go somewhere I don't want to go.”

Lisbie, who cost Town £750,000 when he moved from Colchester in the summer of 2008, is contracted to the Blues until 2011.

WickedBlue added 14:11 - Oct 17 A Colchester fan calling us a league one side now that is funny..........any way onto to other things than listening to the little club down the road...Lisbie can't hack it in the CCC that was obvious from his performances for us, which at best was poor. Now he whines like a little girl that RK didn't speak to him before telling the world he was going to be called back so we can flog him in Jan. Yet I am sure Lisbe didn't tell RK he was going to announce to the world he was never coming back to us. So fair dues Lisbe don't moan at RK for not showing you any respect when you obviously did the same to him and Ipswich. Stop blamibng the club for your failings you simply are not good in enough in the CCC and I would stay there in league one. If you want to stay at that club whats its name again? Get them to come up with the transfer fee if they can. I and I am sure anybody involved at Ipswich really don't care where you go.

I have paid Sanj25 to come on here to say as many stupid things as he can...... 1) it proves that a Colchester Cockney will do anything for a fiver 2) it shows Town fans that little clubs dont have a fan forum, so they use ours 3) it unites us Town fans, and hopefully stops us fighting between ourselves 4) and most importantly, although i know it is wicked to mock the afflicted,it gives us a damn good laugh to read the ramblings of an imbecile. Isn't it funny that he has forgotten how, just a few weeks ago, he was speaking to the media telling them how he didn't want to play for ipswich again? Not really the way to speak about the club that still play a chunk of your wages. And now he's moaning that Keane has done the same.

Lisbie decided to do a newspaper interview and provided many inaccurate facts such as 'Roy Keane sent me out on loan but had never seen me play'. He then went on to say that he never wanted to return to Ipswich. Facts: Lisbie featured in BOTH of Roy's teams at the back end of last season and then played in pre-season before getting injured. Roy, quite rightly quickly realised what 99% of Ipswich fans already knew - Lisbie is a terrible player - not worth anything like the £600K JM wrongly paid for him. Lisbies mouth has got him into trouble and I for one think Roy is right to bring this arrogant player down a peg or two - why shouldn't we cash in on one of our worst assest? Hopefully Lisbie will learn from this. But I doubt it.
