Its great to see McAuley back to his best after a poor start to the season - both he and Delaney are becoming solid and dependable at CB.

And it would be nice to keep young Jack on after January!

Good news, McAuley & Delaney do seem to be "gelling" as a good centre back combination. Cracking goal from Colback.

McCauley was at fault for Blackpool's goal...he just stood there! At least he scored (the corner was on his head...ironically, he just stood there!)

When McAuley is on top of his game, IMO is one of the best centre backs in this league. I said from the start we should keep with him and he will come around. A few people would never have imagined him being in the team of the week!
I just hope the same happens for Walters, he hasn't been as good this season or last as a matter of fact, for example two seasons ago he would have buried his chance on Saturday!

el nico you ust of been watching a differnt game mate he played well good. And standing at the right place at the right time is a very big part of football (pablo dose that all the time).

any way i think they both played a good game and a fantastic goal by colback (he finished better then walters and hes like 10 years older lol)

lets hope walters can find the net on boxing day after hes suspended for this weekends game :)

I must admit i didnt rate Delaney at the start but have to say i have been converted over the last couple of games, his distribution has improved tenfold!
Do miss Bruce though, hes always been a hero.

Good to see us positive for once COYB!

i dont think anyone rated delaney at the start (me included, many a game i almost cried when he was on the ball!!), but to me he looked like a centre back playing left back and never looked entirely comfortable, but the transformation of him at centre back has been unreal he looks so much better, McAuley aswel he's looking back to the form he showed towards the end of last season before he go injured, McAuley and Delaney looking solid (who would have thought we'd be saying that after the first 3 months of the season lol)

COYB!!!!

it's nice to be waking up in the morning these days with optimism in my football heart - I don't think Keane took over at sunderland before November of the season they went up as champions - it IS possible for us too...well, er, maybe not as champions...
here's hoping for a great footballing christmas and may I be the first to extend festive tidings to Ipswich fans the world over, except the interminably miserable and over-critical ones!

Mac and Delaney look good together with a bit of backing and no constent changing in the back four confidence is returning and the performances likewise .
Like a lot of us said we had the players and squad to be a lot higher we just needed to be playing them and in the right positions ,since Garvans return 9 points from 15 and three clean sheets ,Stead 4 goals in last 8 games good strike ratio.
And Jabber nice idea but Keane took over Sunderland in Aug after 4 games only 9 points off the top and were top by this time of the year, but playoffs could be likely

All good comments on here. Delaney was a horror show at the begininging of the season and I genuinely thought it was Jim's final f-you to us for his sacking. But whata transformation. For once our defence doesn't scare the hell out of me. Things are really looking starting to look positive, even on here it is all good. If we can get the team stuck together and have a great Christmas run, we really will come out the other side charged and in great shape for an exciting final few months of the season.

I am going for a 4-2 win at scunny. We will take the lead, go 1-2 down and then a rallying 2nd half display will see the three points coming with us. Edwards and delaney to score, stead with the other 2. any one want quids on it?

BJC why wouldnt Roy Keane win a manager of the month award? Were currently unbeaten in 10, if we win the next 3 games that'll be 3 wins out of 6 in December and unbeaten in nearly 3 months, depending on other results we could be well away from the relegation zone i'd say that could be worth a shout for Manager of the month considering the position we were in the league!!

BJC im not defending our performances at the start of the seaon just like Keane wouldnt we were awful from July to the middle of October, but you cant deny that the last 3 months or so we have improved and we look like we will be able to climb the table

ITFC1985, spot on with that, we are looking like a force, and the team to beat (other than Notts Forest) and im sure every team will not be looking forward to playing us for the rest of the season, even Newcastle will be scared come the Away game!

This is what being a town fan is all about, the highs and the lows, the ups and the downs, i love it!
