Strong Reserves Side Faces Southend Wednesday, 20th Jan 2010 11:30 Town are set to field a strong reserves side in this afternoon’s game against Southend United at Playford Road (KO 2pm). Lee Martin, Alex Bruce, Tamás Priskin and Alan Quinn are all likely to face the Shrimpers. Ben Thatcher is expected to play his first game since the pre-season friendly at Bury Town, having continued to have problems with the knee ligament injury he suffered in the 3-2 derby victory over Norwich City last season. Ed Upson and Shane O'Connor are back from a virus and a knee ligament injury respectively. Former Town academy schoolboy Stuart O'Keefe and on-loan Sunderland defender Jean-Yves M'voto, who was signed by Roy Keane during his time at the Stadium of Light, have been included in the Southend squad.
