Town's third pre-season game ended in another win this time 5-1 against Estonians FC Flora. Goals from Marcus Stewart, Pablo Couñago (2), Jamie Clapham and Martijn Reuser won Town the game.

Stewart's goal was a 23rd minute header from a Reuser freekick, Couñago's first a right foot shot on 53 and Clapham's a rebound from a Jermaine Wright shot in the 59th minute.

Reuser scored a trademark freekick on 70 before Andy Marshall showed a wobbly moment with the ball going under him to make the score 4-1. Couñago added the fifth in the last minute.

According to Spanish sources Deportivo La Coruña are saying that their captain Fran is going nowhere. Town have been repeatedly linked with the winger this week.

Meanwhile the link with Lionel Scaloni has appeared in the papers over the weekend. The 23-year-old Argentinian, who has an Italian passport, also plays for Deportivo La Coruña.

On the James Scowcroft front the link with Charlton has reappeared. With definite offers having already come in from Leicester it looks likely that Scowcroft will be off as soon as a midfielder has been brought in. Leicester looks the likely destination, but with a number of sides linked Peter Taylor's attempts could be thwarted.
