Town duo Ian McLoughlin and Ronan Murray (pictured) have been named in the Republic of Ireland U19 side for the first of two friendlies in Dublin against Poland on Tuesday evening. The Irish youngsters take on the Poles again on Thursday.

Striker Murray has previously won nine U19 caps, while goalkeeper McLoughlin will be winning his first at that level. Academy midfielder David Cawley might also have been in the squad but for picking up an injury.

The games are preparation for Ireland’s European Championships qualifying elite phase matches in Ukraine in May when they take on England, the hosts and Bosnia.
