Klug's Tottenham Move Confirmed
Klug's Tottenham Move Confirmed
Tuesday, 20th Jul 2010 09:26

Bryan Klug has joined the staff at Tottenham, overseeing the coaching of the Premier League side’s academy schoolboys up to the age of 16. TWTD was first to report that the Blues former first team coach and academy head was off to White Hart Lane back in April.

Klug left Portman Road after 23 years as a coach in January, having previously been a player with Town, although without making a senior appearance.

Good luck Bryan. Interesting that Harry can see your qualities but RK can't. Did a good job for Town over the years going back to the end of Sir Bobby's time at PR.

Good luck and thanks for your time at the club. It's a shame that such a good coach is being allowed to walk away. But maybe that suggests a change in real terms at the club... Buy rather than develop.

Hmmmm, seems strange that he wasn't headhunted but considered not required by us, but can get a job at a Prem team. Baffling.

Good enough for Spurs, but not good enough for Ipswich.

Says it all.

Good luck Brian!

The difference is at ITFC he wanted to be 1st team coach after running the Academy; at Spurs he is looking after the kids who are still at school - probably good money, but still demotion.

It is no surprise to me that Harry wants Klug for training the young players. He has a good track record on that at PR. Only he is not good enough to be a manager of the senior team.... Anyways I wish him all the best in his new endeavour
