Keane Hoping for Cup Draw Miracle
Keane Hoping for Cup Draw Miracle

Boss Roy Keane is hoping to finally get a home tie when the draw for the fourth round of the Carling Cup is made this lunchtime. The Blues have had five successive away games in the Carling Cup and eight in a row in both cup competitions, seven since Keane became manager.

Keane says he is hopeful of finally getting a home cup match but isn’t expecting it: “Miracles can happen!”

Overall though, the Blues boss is just delighted to still be in the competition and isn't thinking about which club he would like in the next round: “We’ve seen the results over the last couple of days and we’re just happy to be in the draw. It would be nice for our supporters if it was at home.

“We’ve had two tough games in the first two rounds when on paper you’d have thought we’d be favourites and those games went to extra time, and Millwall the other night was tough as well.

“We’re just happy to be in the draw and our priority at the moment is Scunthorpe, I’m not worried about the draw, that will take care of itself.”

The fourth round draw will be held at around 12.15pm on Sky Sports’ Soccer Saturday with the ties taking place on either Tuesday 26th or Wednesday 27th October.

I think everyone is in agreement on TWTD when I say Brentford and Northampton or Manchester United and Arsenal are the 2 groups of teams which we wouldnt mind getting otherwise I will be very dissappointed.

If we dont get them though please give us a beatable championship team since we may well lose to a Stoke or a Wigan and it wouldnt be exciting.

I think the bigger the team the better, at least we know where
we stand with our performance with a prem team.
