O'Connor On Target as Reserves Defeat Millwall

Shane O’Connor, Ronan Murray, Reggie Lambe and Jamie Griffiths netted for Town’s reserves as Chris Kiwomya’s men defeated Millwall’s second string 4-3 in a friendly at the Lions’ training ground this afternoon.

O’Connor was playing his first game after tearing a hamstring while away with the Republic of Ireland U21s last month.

The Irish youngster completed the full 90 minutes, while Argentinian midfielder Luciano Civelli also played his first full game after 18 months out with a multi-ligament knee injury.

Centre-half Damien Delaney got another 90 minutes under his belt after his thigh injury.

Coach Kiwomya told the club site he was pleased with the performance: "It was a good workout for the players.

"Shane did well and got a full game in and Luca will be stronger for his 90 minutes as well."

I was at the game peeping through the crack behind some closed doors and it was an excellent performance from Civelli, he reminds me of a young Ulrich Le Pen.

Le Pen was a Class Act (in his extreme left wing political views). Its a pity his was crap on the left wing of a football pitch!

Brian, I think that Le pen, was more of a right winger. No matter both lacked pace.
