The Northern Irish FA have confirmed that Town defender Gareth McAuley has been ruled out of next Wednesday's friendly against Morocco in Belfast.

The former Blues skipper, who was subbed in the second half of Town's 2-0 defeat to Derby on Tuesday, is rated as a big doubt ahead of Saturday's home game against Barnsley due to achilles tendinitis.

Current captain David Norris is also expected miss out with his ankle injury, while Grant Leadbitter is suspended after reaching his fifth booking for the season.

Meanwhile, Town boss Roy Keane met with Derval O'Rourke, Ireland's Olympic 100m hurdling hope, last week for an interview for RTE's The John Murray Show, a podcast of which can be found here. Photos of their meeting can be found here

It means Smith will come on to CB with Kennedy/O Dea at LB!
Leadbitter and Norris both out too.
Colback and Livermore in the center with Townsend and Edwards out wide.

Really enjoyable feature with Derval O'Rourke. She doesn't know much about football, but she's charming, and it's a good "The Man and the Myth" tongue-in- cheek piece about Roy. The random sample of "boy on the street interviews" unfortunately confirms all the caricatures about Silly Suffolk, however.
