Dunbar on Trial at Colchester
Dunbar on Trial at Colchester
Wednesday, 9th Feb 2011 11:46

Left-back Seb Dunbar is on trial at Colchester United, his short-term Town contract having been up in January. The 18-year-old is set to play for the U’s reserves against Stevenage at Maldon this evening.

Former Stoke High School pupil Dunbar came through the Blues’ academy ranks and was amongst the seven scholars who were offered professional contracts last summer.

However, while the other six were handed one-year deals, the Ipswich-born full-back was given an initial contract until September, which was subsequently extended until January.

A regular in the reserves, Dunbar was unable to push on into the first team squad.

Strong and quick, but that's about it, played against him many times in junior football.

Knew him at St Albans before he went to Stoke High.
Never exactly got on with him, but once I saw he was in the reserves and was getting mentioned more frequent was hoping he could do well.

Hopefully things will work out for him at Colchester.
