Murray Offered Deal

Town manager Paul Jewell has revealed that Republic of Ireland U21 international striker Ronan Murray has been offered a new contract. The 19-year-old is currently on loan at League Two Torquay United.

Jewell says Murray was offered new terms some time back: “Ronan was offered something quite a while ago.”

The Blues boss says he’s still to speak to a number of first and second-year pros whose terms are up in the summer: “There’s Tom Eastman, Jack Ainsley, Conor Hourihane, Luke Hyam, Reggie Lambe, Troy Brown and one or two others who are the list that I’ll be speaking to on a one-to-one basis like I did with Billy Clark last week.”

Midfielders David Cawley and Jamie Griffiths, who are both out injured at present, are also amongst those yet to learn their fate.

Superfrans added 09:29 - Apr 12 Good to have offered him a contract - worrying that it was "a while back" and that it still hasn't been tied up. Losing him would be worse than losing Jordan Rhodes.
