Hull Confirm Bullard Suspension
Hull Confirm Bullard Suspension
Friday, 22nd Jul 2011 13:58

Hull City have confirmed that they have suspended former Town loanee Jimmy Bullard in a terse statement released this afternoon. News of the two-week suspension, which is believed to relate to a disciplinary issue on the club’s pre-season trip to Slovenia, first broke on Wednesday evening.

The Tigers statement reads: “Hull City AFC can confirm that Jimmy Bullard has been suspended pending an enquiry into recent events.

“The club will be completing the investigation before making any further comment.”

Hull are desperate to offload the 32-year-old's £45,000-a-week contract which has two years to run and which makes up 21% of their wage bill.

Both Town and QPR have been unable to agree terms with the Tigers for the one-time England call-up this summer.

Quite happy for Jimmy to stay at Hull and milk them for £45 fat ones each week. Hull may be a threat to us this season and his wages will make it difficult for them to operate in the transfer market.

Forget him......we would see less than 20 games out of him this season. Never known contract termination for missing bed time!

We don't need Jimmy - we need a young hungry midfielder for the future.Hyam had a brilliant first half of the season last year. Leadbitter + Bowyer + Healy at a stretch will do a job for us. Last season the issue was scoring - Another striker and we will score the goals we need.

I think it's decision time for Jimmy..he's probably got 2 maybe 3 years left at this level..does he stay at a club where he's obviously not wanted and pick up a big fat £45k cheque every week, or does he take a pay cut, join a club that adores him and enjoys what's left of his career?

How much money do you really need Jimmy?
