Collection Prior to Brighton Game
Collection Prior to Brighton Game
Thursday, 29th Sep 2011 11:44

Prior to Saturday’s home game against Brighton a collection is being taken on behalf of the Suffolk Group of the Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDA) outside the ground.

Motor Neurone Disease is a fatal disease that kills five people in the UK every day and can affect any adult at any age.

It is a rapidly progressive neurological condition. Half of those diagnosed will die within 14 months.

It leaves people unable to talk, walk and move but leaves the senses intact. There is no known cause, no effective treatment and no cure.

Life with MND may be short but it is still worth living and the local group help and support local sufferers in any way they can.

Does anyone know if the MNDA is one of ITFC'S supported charities this year?

My Mum died 2 years ago having fought MND, she had a very aggresive form of the disease & went from a fit & healthy 54 year old working Mum, Wife & Nannie, to passing away 18 months later. This disease is truly life destroying. As a family we have held several charity events to raise money for the MNDA in memory of Mum. Please give to this appeal, even if its just a small amount, so little is known about this awful disease, & research ito it is desperately needed.

Thank you those who have organised the collection. :)

MNDa is up there with the most deserving charities - have seen first-hand the suffering it causes .I urge people to give as much as they can. Every little counts and will be much appreciated by the Charity.

Thanks to all
