Town have refused AFC Bournemouth permission to play loanee Jaime Peters in Saturday's FA Cup first round tie against Gillingham at the the Seward Stadium.

Canadian international Peters is in the second month of his loan spell with the League One side.

The Blues are allowing midfielder Andy Drury to play for his loan club Crawley in their cup game at Bury.

Not sure what to make of this one, maybe other clubs are lining up to sign him in jan?

Maybe PJ has woken up to the fact we need some width in Midfield and wants him to get game time and fitness to bring him back and play him in the new year. Suspect Ipswich24 is nearer the mark though.

Given his last two "performances", I won't weep if I never see Peters in a blue shirt again. I'm not solely blaming the player, the way he has been managed in his time here hasn't helped, but he needs a new start somewhere.

My first thought was that this was a bit mean as I can't see him playing for us again. But Ipswich24 makes a good point. His sale value could drop if cup tied

Still can't understand why Jewell's taken against him..he was outstanding in the 1-0 win over Arsenal - hasn't had a look in since..far better than some of the dross ahead of him.

Interesting. I did a Google search to see how Jaime is doing and while the following isn't current it does offer some thoughtful, balanced insights.

He's still young with potential and perhaps his best position isn't full back.

Lightningboy we cant keep living by that Arsenal game everyone was outstanding then. But its week in week out the bread and butter of the league we need players to be outstanding. Under three managers Peters has been in and out of the team and squad this probably tells you something.

looks like he's on his way in the transfer window then, unlessPJ has seen the light. but i doubt it.

This is because he is only on loan till late December and PJ might want to (if we get through) give him some match experience in the F.A cup in Jan, but if he lets him play for Bournemouth then he's cup tied and cant play for us in the cup at all this season
