How sad I can remember when I could not afford a full season ticket and was pleased to buy the half season now we probably could not give them away and I certainly will not be buying one. Find another way to pay the oldies pensions

There will be so many cheap deals as the season peters out it will be cheaper to buy tickets individually.

No thank you........ so nearly went ahead & bought a full season ticket this year, but with working on some Sats, it wasn't worth it....... As much as I love ITFC, I want to be entertained (win loose or draw) at the moment it just aint fun......

2nd season without a season ticket and this price is a rip off! for a £100 i would buy one.
17,000 average gates i predict next year it will go down to the hardcore season ticket holders only which will equate to about 13,14,000

I would be very interested to know how many of these they sell? Phill can we have a follow up article on this?

I would honestly be surprised if they sell more than 10!

I would be interested in this but It's far too expensive! The few times I've been this season (Milwall, Peteborough and Southampton) I really have felt short changed!!! Not just the defeats but the manor of defeats! Wholly unentertaining!!!

I earn a reasonable wage but still feel cheated when paying this much to watch dross! (I don't blame Jewell-who's going to do a better job?-too many players picking up a wage- a lack of imagination and pace in the side) and as a result I don't go! I have many friends who are the same-it isn't an enjoyable day so why waste your money!

I love ITFC and wish they would make it cheaper and we could have more bums on seats a better (more inspiring) atmosphere and maybe it will result in more entertaining football and the cycle is broken!!! (i.e more people will come).

So to me it looks as though there are 2 options: either make it cheaper or start playing some attractive football. With the current bunch of players what is more likely?

If Clegg knew how to treat supporters maybe they would have sold more full season tickets at the start of the season. The club really do not have a clue about the current state of the economy or the God awful entertainment that is on show. We badly need an injection of youth and enthusiasm on an off the field! SC, PJ, CH, NE, JET, LB, DM, GL, etc., goodbye......

A very interesting article Blowsey, however I can't help but criticise you on a number of points:
Firstly, despite only seeing us 3 times this season it seems in your rather amateurish eye is not happy with our style of play. You didn't see the 6 game unbeaten run, the crisp stylish football that was played and the determination shown by those 11 brave men, football akin to Burley or even Robson era.
Secondly you are not happy with the price for, and I quote, 'wholly unentertaining' football. Let me ask you this: have you witnessed the pure brilliance that is JET dominating defences this season. He is worth the admission fee alone. Couple this with the silky skills of Carlos Edwards, or the strength of an Ox displayed by Chopra, and I for one believe the price is not only reasonable but a bargain to boot.

Maybe best to actually watch the football team you supposedly support before criticising it!

Interesting call haynesie!

I can't help but detect a degree of sarcasm in your retort!

JET/Carson/bullard + some good is a midfield I may pay £15 a game to watch but not £20+!!!

blowsey and haynesie, some interesting points.

I've not actually made any games yet this season so can't really comment on the quality of the football. However, I have spoken to other supporters who go to games regularly and one season ticket holder in particular has already told me that he won't be renewing next year. He's had a season ticket for well over a decade now.

It's a sad state of affairs and I can only hope that PJ gets the support he needs to build a team. Remember: George Burley didn't do it in one season (admittedly, he had a heck of a lot less money).

I must wonder if putting more faith in youth could help? GB brought a lot of good young players through and we have another good crop now. Let's get 'safe' and then properly blood them this season so they're ready for next year.

Add a couple of good experienced defenders and next year could be better.

Have faith!

Maybe worth choosing your games better though or just watching them on Swedish TV when you can.. I know a good pub for that in London.

very interesting points fabianmalyon.

Im sure you would agree that the cycle has to be broken? I hope the person who is not renewing will come back providing the atomsphere/level of entertainment (not necessarily winning) improves?

sadly as a great man once said....

"you do get some poor ones...."

Forget half season tickets - drop the matchday ticket prices. It's really not rocket science!

I'm a shift worker and cannot attend every match as I have to work some nights and weekends. So a season ticket is no good for me anyway. I used to go to every home game I could but with current ticket prices I've had to knock it on the head. If tickets were £15-20 I'd be there every game.

My worry is that the fans of the future will be price out of following Town because their parents cannot afford to take them.
