Town Confirm Bristol Rovers Date

Town have confirmed that the Capital One Cup first round tie at home to Bristol Rovers will be played on Tuesday 14th August (KO 7.45pm).

The fixture is the opening game of the season with the Championship campaign having been delayed due to the Olympics.

Town's first league game at home to Blackburn Rovers follows on Saturday 18th August.

Marcus added 16:47 - Jun 18 I guess it makes sense. Smith will be available and Clegg will be back from his Olympic duties. My main concern is that Clegg will be elsewhere when the transfer market hits a pre-season crescendo. It will be a test to see if he has learnt his lesson. Who knows, he might strike up some handy contacts.

If it's not a £5 ticket then I won't go. £5 for adults and £1 for under 16's, that way we might get a few people in the stands. What will be funny is if we decide to rest anyone prior to the start of the season ha ha ha.
