I see there are vastly different qualification rules in different groups of four. If England (group A3) finish bottom, we will still qualify for the play-offs. If Scotland or Wales win their groups (B2 and B4) they would only get a play-off spot. I suspect it is about protecting the bigger nations and having more closely matched teams play each other on TV. It is linked to the Nations' League somehow and becomes more complicated that I can be bothered to work out. I wish football could be kept simple!

Why are we not wearing white?! With Belgium playing in light blue, the teams are not recognisable. This is supposed to be a dementia awareness match, surely better to play in the familiar colours?! |

I am just taking a look how Norwich Women are doing. They are second in one of the leagues below us, the FA Women's Division One South East Division. They played at Carrow Road in front of 5,941 fans today, drawing 2-2 with QPR. League leaders Wimbledon won 6-0 at Cambridge City, putting them 10 points clear at the top. Norwich have two games in hand, but it looks almost certain Wimbledon will win the title and get promoted to our league. |
