Saturday, 27th Oct 2012 15:09

Loanee Blues midfielder Massimo Luongo was in action for his parent club Tottenham’s U21 side this morning as they beat Manchester United 4-2 at home.

The Australian tweeted: “Great result and getting 90 minutes under my belt! Missed playing with the Spurs lads!”

Luongo, who is with the Blues for the season, is one of six domestic loanees at the club with only five permitted in a matchday squad.

Maybe this is the start of a mass exodus of loan players in preparation for the new manager

If we are not playing him what is the point of him being here, just costing us money

This is ridiculous, either he is with us or he isn't. I don't understand this arrangement. But with the going's on at my club at the moment i shud expect it i suppose.

better for his head if he's not around our joke of a club for a while

This has really annoyed me, the fact he is playing for Spurs Reserves again just shows how poor the our management has been this season. We started the season ok and he was playing regularly, makes a mistake against Charlton and gets the boot, and then despite losing all the other games he still not considered, grrr...

Can't understand why he isn't in our squad. Better quality and technique than most of our other midfielders?

First job for the new manager is to negotiate the return of the pointless loans such as Henderson and Wellens. Murphy can also go - completely pointless signing. All these loans show why PJ was never the man for the job - but we must draw the line and move on.

If he is on loan at Ipswich for the season, he should be at Ipswich for the season. Watching the matches even if he isn't picked.

Looked a class act at the start of the season, not understanding why he's been left out. CM is it seems a problem position though the rate of changes. I personally don't rate Drury as a top Championship player. Wellens signing was needed in principle as cover for the likes of N'Daw, Loungo, Hyam and Coker but maybe not actually him.
