Orient Winger Going Nowhere
Orient Winger Going Nowhere

Leyton Orient boss Russell Slade says 19-year-old winger Moses Odubajo won’t be leaving Brisbane Road any time soon. Town, Celtic, Norwich, Southampton, Wigan, Charlton and Brighton are all understood to have been keeping tabs on the Greenwich-born wideman, whose current contract is up in the summer.

Slade told ThisIsLocalLondon he hoping Odubajo will put pen to paper on a new deal: “He’s a Leyton Orient player and he’s doing well for us. There is always going to be interest in your young talented players, as there was with Ryan Allsop.

“Mo’s not going anywhere. We’re trying our best to build a football club here and that's what we intend to do. He’s not signed it yet but we’re hopeful that he will this week.”

Meanwhile, Anthony Wordsworth, whose move from Colchester was finally confirmed yesterday, has been handed the Town number 14 shirt.

Would have made a good addition to the side.
This was his debut goal for Orient. Tough tackler and quick winger.....

Dont think Orient are in a position not to accept a good one million on the table for the lad.

If he's better than Lee Martin, which he probably is... throw the money at him

Alright then Mr slade what about a bid at 5:15 everyone has a price.

Be good if we got a cheeky bid in later, good goal :)

If Odubajo is out of contract in the summer, he may well be going elsewhere. We could make a pre-contract offer and pay the tribunal price in the summer. We have to get someone in to replace Edwards and Martin on the wing!

I was just going to say the same thing, if he's available to take to a tribunal they only ask for what the player is worth anyway not what they are potentially worth so i'd go for him. Can't remember the last time we had a pacey young winger who ran at defenders??

Have seen this guy play twice for Orient this season and he is by far their best player on both the wing and at wing back. He has pace and DOES actually find a nice through ball more often than not. Get him in!

Slade can say what he likes - means nothing. How many times have we heard the same old tripe from a boss only to find the opposite happening. Everyone has a price. Me suspects he's trying to see what he can build the bid upto.
