We just about got through tonight, didnt play well at all.
Against a team like Yeovil really thought we would take the game to them. We are so slow on the break when we do win the ball we slow the attack down. I thought Hyam and Edwards were poor, plus points yet again McGoldrick who impresses me all the time with his ability and creativity, nobody is on his wavelength. Cresswell scored good goal and put in some good deliveries and defended well too. Bera and Smith were solid and Skuse done a job. I wish Mick would trust Taylor and Wordsworth and give them a chance. Taylor for Edwards should of been change.
Anyway another win 6 out of 6 this week.

Good result, only adequate performance. With the emergence of Berra, perhaps 3 centre-backs and 2 wing-backs could be our future?

We dominated possesion from the start, Tunnicliffe Cresswell and McGoldrick add quality to a hard working, honest and solid set of players. Berra looks a great signing and seems comfortable moving up the field with the ball at his feet which gives us another dimension at CB. Whilst Hyam made some tidy passes I would unfortunately think about sacrificing him for a creative Central Mid for home games, perhaps a fit Wordsworth or move Tunnicliffe in and put Tabb on the left. I think it's particularly important we have a midfielder willing to get into the box because our 2 strikers are so hard working they very often go out wide to get the ball, which whilst admirable leaves us short in the penalty area. Cressy took his goal well to seal a deserved win. I do feel though our possesion warranted a greater margin of victory. I look forward to when we can introduce Taylor (even as a late sub) his energy and spark will hurt teams particularly late on. Overall I would say 6.5 out of 10, solid but room for improvement and we will need to improve ie be more ruthless for the sterner tests that lay ahead.

I always thought this would be a harder game than Boro. We historically always play better against bigger teams and however much you talk about being comlacent i think sub-consciously everyone does when playing teams we are supposedly meant to beat.
We deserved it, just about, with the stand out performers being Berra, Cresswell, Skuse, Tunnicliffe and McGoldrick.
Really not sure about Hyam, he certainly is struggling to find his best form, but if we dropped him i think we would miss him in there. The only possible alternative would be Tunnicliffe in with Skuse and Tabb on the left.
Murphy was nowhere near as effective as Saturday but i do quite like him and DM together, so would stick with that pair ( and he did score).
Overall though a great three days and when did we last get six out of six in a Sat/Tues combo?
Would take a point at Wigan.

Poor first half, some good approach play at times but the final ball was sadly lacking. Second half better but nothing special. Once we got our noses in front we seemed to sit back and invite Yeovil to attack us which could have ended badly!

To me we are lacking something in central midfield. Hyam isn't playing well and is far too defensive in his outlook, how many of his passes actually went forward last night rather than sideways or backwards? I know being a defensive midfielder is Hyams game but Skuse is the same and he is much better at it in my view. I would be looking to drop Hyam for a while at least.

Not sure about Murphy in that he came on against Boro on Saturday and changed the game, whilst last night he was very ordinary.

Having said that 6 points out of 6 is as good as it gets so can't complain too much!

First Town game of the season for me. Impressed with Berra & Skuse. Chambers did not look happy at having to play right back! It is a welcome change to have a striker in Mcgoldrick who looks like he might be able to shoot and then even score, when presented with an opportunity.

Good effort on the amount of noise the handful of Yeovil created.
